In the heart of Monroe, Michigan, J&R Tractor stands as a testament to a rich legacy in the agricultural equipment industry. Founded in 1946 by visionaries William Wagenknecht, Jim Pinkham, Rod Chapman, and Elmer Schultz, the company has evolved over the years, now flourishing under the ownership of Jim Marl. Historical Evolution: J&R Tractor's journey commenced at 15525 S Dixie Hwy in the Monroe Townsite Plaza, later relocating across the street to its current 4 1/2 acre site at 15330 S. Dixie Hwy. In 1962, with Mr. Schultz's departure, new stakeholders Earl Reaume, Warren Bowman, and Arnold Kreuger joined, marking a significant chapter in the company's history. Ownership Transition: As of the company's 50th anniversary in 1996, only Bill and Earl remained as owners.
